Magnificent Härjedalen

Härjedalen is one of the highest above sea level located provinces in Sweden, with a unique kind of nature, summertime as well as winter. The rural district of Härjedalen is approximately the same size as the province with an area of 11.400 km², one of the largest in Sweden. You will find considerable variations in the kind of nature the province provides, from forest landscape in the east, to the massive mountains in the west.

Härjedalen is divided into different tourist areas because of its size and variation in nature, each one with its own distinctive character.
