An impressive building
A huge house, nestling against the high Fundsdalsberget mountain. The building in itself is worth a visit!
A new and fascinating museum
As far back as 1894, the far-sighted merchant Erik Fundin founded Sweden's first local museum.
Thanks to the early beginning of collecting, the museum today houses an outstanding exhibition, both in quality and in quantity, showing the lives of the Sami people, the farmers and the miners during the past 1000 years. The way in which the exhibits are presented makes the encounter of the Härjedalen inhabitants' culture an unforgettable and exciting experience.
Fornminnesparken
This outdoor museum, situated next to the new museum, displays a variety of old traditional log buildings from the region, with exhibitions and activities.
